My Story
Wow. Its been a few years since Ive updated my story... Let me tell you, its been an amazing ride!
In 2011, I came across this thing called Scentsy. It was alllll over facebook, and... well it looked interesting enough. But I was broke, and rebuilding life after having moved across the country... AGAIN. Thats such a long story, so maybe ask me about it one day if you want to know more ^_~
Being poor, struggling, and on government aid, there was no way I could afford any of these wonderful products, that Id never seen, never smelled and never experienced. So, I tried something different. A friend and I began combing the internet for blogs doing giveaways. By some miracle we both managed to acquire some (as I affectionately call them) Smellygoods, and that was that. It was every bit as amazing as Id imagined... until I realized I was going to run out some day, and I was still poor.
So after much coaxing, bribing, wheedling, and pushing from my now sponsor. I did a party, and shortly thereafter... I signed up. What I didnt mention before, is I was agoraphobic, struggling with PTSD, and an emotional wreck... that in my mind, could never in a million years run a business like this successfully.
I. Was. Wrong.
Being wrong feels so good sometimes.
This was 6 years ago. Because of this business, Ive overcome my anxiety that had been keeping me from learning to drive (Finally at 32!) Because of this business, Ive traveled this country... and soon to be the WORLD because I have EARNED a Mediterranean cruise! Because of this business, I unearthed an amazing can do attitude that is allowing me to soar to new heights. Because of this business, our family has an additional source of income that allows my husband to be a stay at home dad, and achieve his own life goal of being an author.
This isnt just a business of wax and warmers. The psychology of scent is inspiring and uplifting. The side effects of direct sales are good for the soul... This is a business of developing hopes, dreams, a new lease on life... and sharing it all with others.
